It's no secret that photo editing, aka post-processing, is cornerstone to beautiful and meaningful photography. However, it's become its own art form, with each photographer having their "go-to" sliders, settings, techniques and workflow. Not only are the techniques different from photographer to photographer, but each photograph itself can be quite different in terms of the tools and editing used by a given photographer.
In my new video series, Examples in Editing I go through specific photos and show you, in real time, my full editing process. What sliders I use, considerations when cropping, masking, and so much more. I even discuss why I chose that photo to be in my selects from a photo trip in the first place--in other words, what makes it stand out.
It's my hope that in these short videos you'll learn not only the techniques that I use time and time again, but a glimpse into my mind of what editing tools are best in given situations.
In my inaugural video, I share techniques for editing a photo of a solo monarch butterfly. But if you visit my YouTube channel weekly (or subscribe to get notifications of new posts) you'll see that I have many more coming out in the future, including editing photos of polar bears, lemurs, and much, much more.
I invite you to follow along, and should you wish to see specific examples or photos, please email me and I'd be happy to show you what you want to see.
Hope you enjoy!
